After attending the School of Visual Arts in New York City, where he received the award for Best Achievement in Cinematography, Colin began working in the industry as a First Assistant Cameraperson.

As an assistant, he had the opportunity to learn from some of the great Directors of Photography of our time and fully immerse himself in the art of cinematography. While working as a crew member, Colin continued shooting anything and everything he could to grow as a cameraperson.

Based on the body of film work he developed, Colin was nominated for the American Society of Cinematography Award for Best Newcomer to the industry. Shortly after, he served as Director of Photography on two feature-length documentaries: Take Me to the River, filmed in India, and Kokuyaku, filmed in Japan.

He later brought this experience to the HiDef feature film The Amazing Floydini, co-starring Gilbert Gottfried, which won Best Feature Film at the New Hampshire Film Festival, as well as his second HiDef romantic comedy feature, You Tell Me. Colin’s unique cinematic lighting style has been featured in HIGH DEF Magazine, and he continues to challenge himself while pushing his cinematic expression to new limits.
